MicroScan allows personalised cornea ablation using keratopographer and aberrometer data. MicroScan software is compatible with the TMS-4 topographer and the Multi Spot-1000 aberrometer data.

The ability to work with the data from both the keratopographer and the aberrometer allows one to consider and to correct individual refraction anomalies of every eye, using capabilities of the scanning system.

Personalised ablation based on topographer data

The irregular cornea features can be taken into account by using topographer data. Special KeraScan software precalculates operation using full volume of the TMS-4 keratopographer data. During such operation the cornea irregularities are removed and cornea takes the shape of ideal ellipsoid.

Personalised ablation based on aberrometer data

In complicated cases a higher order aberration correction with the use of aberrometer data is needed. ATACA software allows the calculation of an operation on the basis of the MultiSpot-1000 aberrometer data. During such operation refraction cornea defects as well as the irregularities of the whole eye optical tract are corrected.

Aberrometer MultiSpot-1000

The MultiSpot-1000 aberrometer is designed by Laboratory of Adaptive Optics of Moscow State University to carry out automatic measurements of complete eye aberrations. For measurements a low-power infrared semiconductor laser is used; the laser's scanning system provides a high accuracy of measurements and an absolute security of the procedure for a patient. A short measurement time (30 ms) and large sample (up to 600 measurements) enables the identification of statistically significant aberrations.
