The company’s quality management system is certified under GOST ISO 9001-2011 (ISO 9001-2008, IDT) for design, development, production and servicing of lasers and medical laser equipment. Optosystems is licensed to manufacture and service medical equipment.
The company has own production facilities, including high-precision machining complexes, measuring and diagnostic equipment.
We use only high quality components from leading manufacturers in all our products. As a company, Optosystems continuously monitors manufacturers of accessories and hardware components and we carefully select equipment suppliers for our products.

Discussion of ideas is always the first step in the manufacture of medical facilities. The leading members of the research department of Optosystems work continuously on developing new products and improving existing ones, adapting them to the modern demands of medicine. This is the stage when the team generates ideas and a new product emerges.

Creation of an industrial design is one of the key elements in the production of our systems. This production stage is important – it combines the work of engineers and designers, who eventually render the product appearance on paper, while factoring in all the ins and outs of the internal structure of the systems and relative positions of details. The external appearance of our systems is designed at Italian design studio AMV Design  http://www.amvdesign.it/index_en.php  and Art. Lebedev Studio https://www.artlebedev.ru/optosystems/process/. When creating a new element, several options are often created – the most ergonomic model of them finally carries the day.

Parts are manufactured at fabrication shops. Optosystems has two large fabrication shops located in the city of Troitsk, where the company itself is located. The shops employ about 120 people. We produce not only medical systems – our production capacities far exceed the demand for medical products. We also provide services to other companies and this has enabled us to maintain high diversity for our existing equipment.

Our highly equipped shops enable us to manufacture parts of any complexity and accuracy. For example, a five-axis machine acquired from Swiss company BUMOTEC produces an optical line for Microscan Visum. The new-generation equipment produces components that meet the latest requirements of quality and high standards of medical products.

Our fabrication shops have all the equipment necessary for processing, dyeing, polishing and anodizing. The variety of machines allows for manufacture of parts ranging from the smallest elements to two-meter cases. At the shop, we also carry out rough assembly of enclosures for laser systems. So at this production stage, we independently produce all the necessary parts for medical products.

CL 5000

 

Optosystems has developed and now manufactures excimer lasers. One of such lasers CLS 5000 is used in the MicroScan Visum system. The laser is the heart of the system. Almost all the key parameters and result stability depend on the functioning of this laser. We have been making excimer lasers for over 30 years now and have accumulated a wealth of experience – ArF laser with a lasing wavelength of 193 nm and pulse repetition rate of 500 Hz.

Femtosecond laser (FL 300) was developed by Optosystems and optimized for use in Femto Visum. The all-fiber laser provides a pulse width of 200-400 fs – the minimum value for ophthalmic femtosecond lasers in the market. This ensures more efficient operation of the system and eliminates corneal heating.

Cases assembled in the workshop together with manufactured accessories are sent to the laboratory where highly skilled specialists carry out clean assembly. At this stage, optical elements, microprocessor boards and precision components required for work are installed. Upon completion of these works, we obtain an off-the-shelf system.

The finished system is configured with the help of special devices. At this stage, the system is tested, quality control is carried out, and customer software or hardware requirements are taken into account.

After setting it up, the system is prepared for delivery.

The laser systems are sent to the customer, accompanied by our specialists. The specialists install the equipment at the site, prepare it for operation and conduct briefing for the staff at the clinic. This marks the end of the production process. Maintenance service is further provided if and when necessary.
