18th all-russian scientific-practical congress with international participation “Modern technologies of cataractal and refraction surgery”

Optosystems took part in the XVIII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Congress with international participation “Modern Technologies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery”, which took place on October 20-21, 2017 in Moscow. The congress included the Day Of Glaucoma  (19 October). This is one of the most ambitious and attended professional events for specialists in the field of surgery of anterior segment of eyeball, cataract and refractive disorders. In the plenary session, right after the opening of the congress, Aleksandr Viktorovich Doga made a presentation on “Clinical outcomes of myopia correction using the FemtoLAZIC method using various femtolaser units.” In this report, he conducted a comparative analysis of the refractive and visual results of the Femto-LASIK operation using Femto Visum (Russia) and Femto LDV Z6 (Switzerland) in patients with mild to moderate myopia. Summarising the talk, the conclusion was drawn that the Femto-LASIC operation using femto-laser devices Femto Visum and Femto LDV Z6 is an effective and safe method for correction of myopia of mild and moderate degrees and leads to stable postoperative refractive and visual results, without a statistically significant difference between the studied settings (p> 0.05). Jubilee Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Technologies in Ophthalmology” August 25-26, 2017, Cheboksary

Optosistems will take part in the conference timed to the 30th anniversary of the Cheboksary branch of the MNTK “Eye Microsurgery”, named after academician S.N. Fedorov of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the 90th anniversary of Academician Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Fedorov, and the anniversary of the director of the Cheboksary branch, Nikolai Petrovich Pashtayev.

At the conference the director of the company Vartapetov S. K. will make a presentation “Femto Wisum, a domestic femtosecond laser – characteristics and practice of application.”

Taiwanese-Russian scientific relations

On June 23, in Moscow, in the representation office of the Taipei-Moscow Coordinating Commission for Economic and Cultural Cooperation, a ceremony of signing a memorandum on quadrilateral cooperation in the scientific and technical field took place. On the Taiwan side, the agreement was signed by the Research Center for Metallurgy “MIRDC” and the “FairTech” corporation, on the russian side, the participants of the agreement were Physics Instrumentation Center at GPI and Optosystems. The purpose of the agreement is the development of bilateral scientific and technical ties between the two countries, and the development of innovative industrial business between the companies of Taiwan and Russia.

The signing of the agreement was preceded by a visit to the scientific laboratories of the Troitsk Scientific Center and the industrial shops of the Mikron plant. The ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere with a large meeting of specialists and the press. Among the invited was the Photonics magazine.


LASER World of Photonics 2017

The 23rd International Trade Fair and Congress – LASER World of Photonics – will be held from 26 to 29 June 2017 at the New Munich Exhibition complex. LASER World of Photonics has been hosted in Munich since 1973. Every two years, the international trade fair gathers key manufacturers from this important market sector. Currently, the trade fair focuses mainly on interaction between science and industry. Microscan Visum at the Ophthalmology Center, Pirogov National Medical Surgical Center

The opening ceremony of the Ophthalmology Center of the Pirogov National Medical Surgical Center was held in December 26, 2016.  The Center is equipped with the latest world-class medical equipment for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including in high-tech medical care. The Ophthalmology Center uses excimer laser MicroScan Visum – the latest laser system from Optosystems – for laser surgery at the.


MicroScan Visum comes to India

In April 2016, the MicroScan Visum system for correction of vision was installed in SAIFEE HOSPITAL a multi-disciplinary hospital in Mumbai, India and a global health care center. The hospital conducts preventive and therapeutic procedures, medical diagnostics, therapy and surgeries. Vision correction surgeries can now be performed on the new modern ophthalmic system MicroScan Visum from Optosystems.

 


ESCRS 2015 Barcelona

In September 2015, Optosystems – together with Nanovision group – participated in an exhibition dedicated to the European Society Of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons. In Barcelona, MicroScan Visum – the Russian leader in laser ophthalmology –was presented along with modern laser systems from European leaders in the field of ophthalmic systems showcased at the exhibition. Surgeons from the Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Complex made presentations on the benefits of vision correction on MicroScan Visum:
